First of all, this is not a complaint about the actual situation, just an informational (emotionless) thread/poll!

As known by most of the users there were and/or are some discussions in the sidux team. For ordinary users (as I am) the discussions could be followed only partially, but there were no informations about what is going on, respectively what will happen and how is the future (or will there be one) of this really nice project.

Also there are no official informations about the status of the discussions/cooperation of the team from the admins side. (Ordinary) Users only see that frickelplatz is down, some admins are in the chat, but not so active as before, some resigned, some (I assume) were banned(?) or kicked(?), some did not or were no longer willing or could no longer contribute in the forum since more than a handfull of days.

For myself I think what I will do, respectively how to proceed with Linux and sidux and Debian or migrate to an other distribution, if required.

I listed some options, I think about in the moment. I am interested how other (especially ordinary) users act/think in the moment. Please poll and give your (fundamental, please not joking or provoking or swearing) comments, like distri preferred in case of migration planned.

Thank you for your contribution!

Unfortunately I forgot the option to answer:

I am confident everything will heal and we proceed as before

If that is your opinion, please poll for the first option (I could no more edit the poll).

Sorry for that!

once upon a time...

very often with sidux... well, i see whatever i try to say [well, not everything, but a lot ] when I'm asking for help, they say: sorry, not our problem, your problem you use this, and this, or that player

but maybe all my troubles are 64 AMD ;D

anyway, i decided longer ago I am gonna move somewhere where they dont try to find why not to help, i just havent found time for that, yet ;D

i left and run pure sid, since sometime last year. i use this forum as one source of info, but not as the only source of info - and certainly not as the *only* authority for how to run/update/maintain my box

Discussions about moved/deleted threads, censorship, unfriendliness, kicked and banned user/mods, great parts of the community are leaving and some more.

For those of you who are interested in politics ...

hi devil,

I did not write that to put oil on the fire. In the chat someone asked about frickelplatz and an answer was given that I (from my personal point of view) interpreted in a way that the maintenance of frickelplatz is no longer assured.

Sorry, if that was a misinterpretation by myself or an interpretation on a misunderstood/misleading/not correct chat contribution.

Everything changes with time.
And as I see from the polls, most, like me, are optimistic.

What about new users like me? Forgot that option also?
I am sidux user since two or three months. I am not used to give up so early. And I won't vote here.
