Err is this about Kano or Kanotix being 'dead'?

Also einfach eine neue CD zu erstellen ohne signifikate Verbesserungen liegt mir fern. Zum Anfang werd ich wohl mal Etch verwenden, doch der Zustand von Etch könnte besser sein, auf ein Paar Pakete aus Sid kommt man aktuell kaum vorbei, wenn es nicht zu veraltet da stehn soll. Zu diesen zählen: iceweasel (ist nur ff 1.5 in etch), ntfs-3g + fuse (total veraltet), splashy (fehlt komplett). Zudem soll auch noch ein besserer Installer drauf. Wenn das so weit fertig ist wird es auch mal wieder eine Testfassung geben. Aktuell tut sich selbst in Sid nicht viel, bis auf die Paar erwähnen Pakete sind das nur minimale Unterschiede grad zu Etch. Nebenbei ist zu erwarten, dass sich erst nach einem Release von Etch in Sid wieder was grösseres tut, wer sein System aktuell hält und die paar Probleme, die es gibt gelöst hat, der kann eine Kanotix HD install ohne Probleme weiterführen, wer neuinstalliert, kann ja testweise unstable in der /etc/apt/sources.list deaktivieren, dann kriegt man mit splashy keine Probleme (die Version in Sid ist nicht der Hit).

Thus simply new CD to provide without signifikate improvements is appropriate for me far. The beginning become I probably times Etch use, but the condition of Etch could be better, on a pair of packages from Sid up-to-date hardly goes past one, if it too outdated there stehn were not. If it is so far finished also times again a test version will give. Up-to-date in Sid much does not do, up to the pair mentions packages is only minimum differences the degree to Etch. Besides is to be expected that only after release of Etch in Sid again which does larger, who its system keeps current and those few problems, which there are solved, which can resume a Kanotix hp install without problems, who again-installs, can testweise unstable in /etc/apt/sources.list deactivate, then one does not kriegt with splashy problems (the version in Sid is not the hit).

Well, I don't feel like simply creating a new CD without significant improvements. For the time being I guess I'll use etch, though its state could be better. There's a few packages from sid one currently can't do without, provided one doesn't want to appear too outdated (e.g. iceweasel, ntfs-3g + fuse, splashy). Besides, the installer should be improved. As soon as this is done there will be a beta. Currently even sid is rather tranquil, apart from the abovementioned packages the difference is minimal. I don't expect this to change before etch is released, so people sticking to their kanotix install should be able to keep it running. People installing now could disable unstable in their sources.list to keep clear from splashy issues (the sid version isn't really good).
