| I vaguely remember at least installing it (so there can't have been too many dependency problems). I used the repo

I actually dropped awn from my repo because it doesn't work fully on KDE and the deb4gilir repo was being updated very regularly at the time.
Also, that repo maintainer is a member of the awn community so I thought he would be in a better position to offer quality packages.
