Whenever, whatever it turns out to be, I am sure it will be awesome. BTW, I just saw today that some Kubuntu devs were going to spend an hour on IRC introducing people to PyKDE4, which is a set of Python bindings for Qt and KDE. Maybe you would be interested in it?
