...looks awesome and I really like it, but what do you do when sidux 2007-04 arrives and brings new artwork with it?

Great work, sidux.com-Team!

the font colors are too pale, it looks washed out and is a bit hard to read. I never use the default, but I recommend significantly darkening the base fonts to create a stronger contrast.

Otherwise I agree, the default looks good.

I agree with h2, to little contrast between background and text makes it hard to read for my eyes on my monitor.

Otherwise calm and nice

I've worked with this type of issue a lot, and you have to be VERY careful when dropping the contrast between background and foreground, it is heavily monitor dependent, you can basically never trust it until you have seen it on a good range of lcd and crt monitors. Usually the safest is to get very close to black in the color range you're working with, but not quite black, just a hint of the range remaining.

For example, on my laptop, this would be probably almost impossible to read, because its lcd does not have very high contrast.

Same here. Makes it really hard to read on my screen, but I simply changed the website theme to sidux and I'm happy again.

the colors used in some way resemble me ubuntu.com site lighter brown shade color.

[IRONIC mode]are we going to be an ubuntu subsidiary?[/IRONIC mode]

anyway, did I say I don't like brown colors? Wink

I agree with maintaining a good contrast between foreground colors and the background one (see the words usability and accessibility).

cheers

I like it personally. I like it a lot.
I find it perfectly readable but I agree some of the text ought to be darker.

I love it...and the new logo, very sleek and stylish. I have no problems reading the text.

In my opinion, I liked the original colors of the gaia theme. Very Happy

but what I really like is the new fav icon, the "si" ("yes" or "yeah" in spanish) of sidux. It gives me a very positive attitude. Wink
