I use a dual boot and can access 'thunderbird' mail directory from either (very rarely XP!). I initially checked out the thunderbird site to import outlook express to thunderbird.

| yeah, i dual boot too and share both thunderbird and firefox profiles (including email) across both WinXP and Linux using a FAT32 partition. don't remember the details because i set this up maybe a year ago but it's a great solution for dual-boot boxes |
