i installed realtime-lsm with help of module-assistent but got several errors

installing it with help of synaptic leads to the following messages (sry they are in german)
Code:

realtime-lsm-module-2.6.21.5-slh-smp-2:

would be nice if someone could help me with that and knows if it is possible to install this module on the sidux kernel

no, this paket isn´t usefull. you need a kernel-patch and recompiled kernel to use lsm. you can find it here :
http://vipernicus.org/files/patches/2.6 ... -lsm.patch

but note : you can use PAM to get realtime-acces for user-programs. I try it out and get same result from use PAM ore use lsm (kernel 2.6.22.1) so it is not nessesary to patch the kernel for that.
If you want to get a realtime kernel you need the rt-patch from ingo molnar to get realtime preeamtion.

here is a how-to from blackhole :

How about a detailed howto that takes advantage of slh's source script? I'm sick of borking rt kernels. I haven't done any recording for months because of it.
This issue of rt kernels is raised regularly both here and on irc and we are normally brushed off as an insignificant minority. That is patently inaccurate; there are obviously a shitload more of us muso's than is believed.
Perhaps we should run a poll/survey. I think many of you will be suprised at how many people use rt or would be using rt if it was easier to do.

Well I had some initial trouble because it was an really old converted kanotix. After talking to etorix, I installed initramfs-tools and it worked like a charm.
Makke, you're a champion!!!

and thanks brummer
