The fdi file was not wrong, the people who requested it from hal (the debian X team) were not prepared for the changes it brought.

Perhaps then the X team will need to reconcile the changes to make evdev work properly

OMG: this site gives what I am doing, and far more, and it is automated.
Diese Seite hier macht dasselbe wie ich und noch mehr, und sie ist generiert.

That is only an issue if your /bin/sh doesn't isn't a symlink to /bin/bash, which would be rather uncommon (at least something you'd know of, as debian and sidux defaults are bash and it does need active changing of that default). For all other makedev will install without a hitch, as the "wrong" syntax works fine with bash - furthermore makedev is pretty useless on udev based systems, even though it is still mandated by policy and essential=yes (it creates device nodes for the no longer used static /dev/ hidden below udev).

openoffice.org-calc 2.4.0-rc1-2 seems to be stirred, not shaken. Take care if you rely on that:

The bug reported is for 2.4 rc1-2 (noy rc2-1)

I can't replicate this bug - 2.4 rc1-2 works fine here with the copy / paste bug not an issue

This isn't a general problem either as I don't replicate the problem here with 2.4 rc1-2
