Post subject: [solved] viewing webcams from yahoo messenger with kopete

i've been trying to use kopete to view/send webcams in yahoo messenger with my brother. he can view my webcam without any problems, but when i try to view his webcam, i only get a still picture. 
i've already installed libjasper-runtime. what do you think is the problem here? |

| hi. my webcam is working with camorama. my brother has no problems viewing my webcam (he uses Yahoo Messenger, i use Kopete). the problem is when i try to view his webcam. at first, kopete showed an messsage saying that i should install the jasper libraries, so i installed libjasper-runtime. after that, the error went away, but instead of a moving video stream from his webcam, i only see a still image (i assume it's the first frame from the video). he also says that he can see his own webcam video stream fine from within YM. |

| i finally managed to solve the problem. apparently this was an issue with kopete 0.12.3, pulling version 0.12.4 solved it. |
