I am giving your distro a "tryout" for a couple of weeks as a "live CD." I have just a few questions that may be offered as possible programming changes in the future.
I appreciate all of the tabs at the top of the window, however, I have no use for some that are not in the english language ( I can understand some of the German words in the stories, but I am far from fluent). Is it possible to change the links somehow to English speaking news sites? or to a favorite site you visit often? For instance, I was delighted to see that you offer Heise Online, but I know that Heise has an English version, so can I change the link to direct toward that site instead of the German-speaking site?
Also, if I wanted to do away with klik, could I put in a link to go to an oft-visited site like USALUG.org or worldnetdaily.com? Could a script be inserted in future versions that would allow such changes to be made?
As said above, I'm just trying out this distro at the moment, and I applaud your efforts in such a short time, it is really a great looking distro, and seems fast ( faster than Ubuntu or Simply Mepis on this box). Keep up the good work!!  |

| As far as live bookmarks go, you can delete the ones that you don't want. Like you I am far from fluent in german so I deleted those. If you want to add new ones just go to the web site that you want a live bookmark from and in the address bar there should be a little rss feed icon. If you click that and subscribe to it via live bookmarks, it's an option firfox will give you, it will add a tab for it. This can be done for any site that offers live bookmarks. |
