Also keine Angst, "getan" ist im Handbuch, wann immer es online kommt. Ist nicht so leicht für bluewater, x Sprachen zu koordinieren.

Betrifft zwar nicht das Handbuch, aber ich wollte wegen einem Buchstaben keinen neuen Thread aufmachen:

Wenn man auf den Link "Binäre, nicht freie Treiber für nVidia / ATI" klickt, steht dort als Überschrift "Binäre, non-free Treiber

two wishes, since I don't think the meaning "language selection" of the sidux-book-on-flags-icon is easy to grasp:
* make the book smaller and/or the flags bigger
* display the tool tip (img src="../lib/logos/sidux-lang-50.png" title="Wählen Sie eine andere Sprache") in english, no matter what language I'm currently reading - if I want to see another language than german I'm most likely not able to understand "Wählen Sie eine andere Sprache". |

This is no bug, typo or error but a suggestion:
All pages in the manual has a small datestamp in the lower, right corner. This datestamp tells when the page was revised. Would it be possible to put this information in the upper right corner, just to make it easier to access the information? Now it's kind of 'hidden'... |

What I meant was that it gets easier to obtain the information about when the page was last updated.
Occasionally I browse around in the manual, just to check out if there is anything new to learn. If I enter a page and the datestamp says that the page was updated yesterday, then I probalby will re-read the page, but if it says that the page was updated two months ago I'll probably skip it.
Just a suggestion, nothing important. |

did this happen? (i'm new to sidux.) i overlooked this icon a few days ago, although i searched the whole menu for 'other language'. it looks just like a logo. but imho the flags are more important than the sidux-sign.
i suggest:
as the flags are hidden, remove the sidux-sign or at least put it besides or behind the flags.

1. I am not good in graphics, so I can't say if the icon is good or not, the "sidux logo on the book" is the logo for the manual.
2. The mouseover text is in German in all my browsers (language detection is very good on the manual page, at least here: IW, Konqueror, Opera).

it is not a question of aesthetics here. does this icon suit its purpose of showing that you have the opportunity to change the language? Can everybody discover this purpose at first sight, if you dont know of this opportunity? When I was looking for it, I didnt see it. Now, as I know, of course I recognize it.

i have no problem with german. it is not important to me personally. i just took up severin's suggestion. he feared with a wrong language you will not understand the popup message. but if you dont suspect, that you could do anything with this icon (looking like a logo) you will not even see any popup message (see point 1)).

Ahhh , I understand now, heh
HHmm, convention seems to have it that content changes to a file are placed at the bottom (doesn't mean to say its the best solution) .
The other small issue is a topic that you are really interested in to note/read up on any changes , may appear in the middle of a file not the first line of a file so that means putting a time stamp on every topic heading, I don't really want to do that, unless it becomes critical operationally.

(maybe I'm out of context... but)
if you are talking about change of manual to be (re)translated by translation team,
i think it's very useful if you add some comment tag like.

here 'TRANS' is just an example, but then translater can just search this defined word
and know where to work.
(I use 'svn diff' but still it takes effort to find the write revision to compare...
need to learn svn deeper)
Translator should then remove the coment tag, or add 'Done' or something so that he
won't find the same place lator...
just an idea. may not be supported by all translators, though
about the 'fear' to be lost in another language, I think one permanent link for 'Englsih' is good idea. (I assume this is not talking about manual, but about sidux.com's another language UI)
