| My old reliable Athlon XP 2400 dual monitor setup...started off as a rebuild from easter edition shortly after the Xorg 7.0 transition problems & been rock solid ever since. Fully up to date as of yesterday. |

Because I am not a very creative person graphically, I like that screenshot with beryl burning down a window in front of a eucalyptus wood. Reminds me of The Talking Heads "Burning Down the Sid" or what ever this brilliant song was called
Greetings

open kmenu edit and change the icon of the sidux menu, remove the kanotix menu from the panel then add the sidux menu> right click add application add this menu.
The various monitors like the weather one on my desktop are superkaramba themes. The weather one is Liquidweather. |

| Had to add another shot showing off shame's fantastic beryl debs....xine & tvtime running while VNCd to my fileserver & my wife's windows box. This is a screenshot with MultiMonitor Mode set to Multiple cubes in beryl...it's not a cut/paste of two screenshots. |

Well it looks like this has become the "show your desktop" thread by defacto. Perhaps you should change the title craigevil.
Here are mine with and without Beryl. I'm sure you all would like to see the desktop as I design it so I'll post 800 images instead of thumbnails.
The icons are non-standard as you can see. They are from all over the place plus several I made myself.
Crystal
Beryl
Now a lot of you are probably saying wtf is Crystal? How come it has a transparent titlebar and looks like a beryl window?
Well before you ask, here how's you get it.
apt-get install kwin-style-crystal
now open your control centre (kcontrol)
Appearances and Themes > Window Decorations > Window Decoration
select Crystal from the drop down menu
For the buttons select Buttons (the bottom tab next to "general" and not the top one) and choose vista.
If you want my tortoise shell effect to match the wallpaper go to the "Overlay" tab and select "Userdefined".
The files to place in there are these:
Active Window
Inactive Window
For the rest of the art visit the first page ofmy art thread. |
