After 3 months of development we are proud to announce the immediate availability of the sidux-2007-01 "Χάος release" for amd64 and i686 systems
Greetings to all of you working with sidux, you made a fantastic work, in only three month you made sidux, that must go to some record book. In fact I have tears in my eyes, probably because I just sliced onions for dinner but anyway?
I just finnished burning the cd, now I shall install |

Yeah, I ditto that and raise the ante with a kudos!
You have officially caused my life hell because now I have the horrendous task of backing up my system which equates to sticking my finger in the light socket, repeatedly, just to move over to sidux. *shakes a mean fist*
Seriously, I have been waiting for this day to be free of Kubuntu for a very long time. |

You have produced something incredibly fine and professional. Thank you all for all the hard work you have devoted to this. I have not one hesitation about recommending sidux. I cannot say this about any other offering out there.
SLH... you smoke!
H2..., I am amazed by your scripting!
Cathbard..., your graphics are truly beautiful... |

I must admit, I haven't been following the release process at all, since my kanotix/etch upgrades were working so well I decided to just wait for the final release.
So, is there anything I should know about that I might have missed? I plan on installing 64-bit initially, then once it is set up to my liking I will be installing 32-bit (on a different partition that is).
But I don't want to mess with my current installations just yet, til I know everything is working ok, which means I will have 4 seperate sidux installations on the same comp!!
Also, what is missing in the lite version? |

Thanks for the kind comments, and thanks to all of you for the quality feedback provided over the preview releases that helped push this through in such a short time
@shame - the lite version has a few core kde apps only, full includes a huge variety - including openoffice, graphics editing apps (gimp/inkscape/scribus) plus loads more. If you're into installing what you need as you need it, lite is a smaller download and a quicker install |

| Forgive me if I'm missing something, but I can't see an amd64 iso. Is it a single dual-arch iso or did I leave my reading eyes in my other jacket? |
