vbox 2.0.0 install is debugged and working in svmi, it has some new dependencies too, libqt4. Nice stuff.

I'm going to maybe have some issues with the vbox-ose stuff because the new debian package name for the 2 series is virtualbox-2.0, not virtualbox, but I'll wait to see what the packages are actually called in debian ose before updating the svmi installer and smxi modules handler.

because apparently the debian packages are going to use this new virtualbox-2.0 syntax, I had to make the entire core vbox stuff more dynamic re the testing, I'll have to tweak it some more when the ose stuff comes out, depending on the package names, but I think it's handled mostly.

Tested and working now for non ose install, addons download, non ose module rebuilder.

Still can't test for ose stuff in new version until it comes out

Question I'm not sure what you are saying slh. Under everything up to and including VB2.0.0 the .26 kernels would not boot properly. I installed 2.0.2 last night and so far they're booting normally. If you're referring to other VB problems then I agree with you. I still cannot get OpenSUSE11 or OpenSolaris to install properly.

The vbox virtualbox_2.0.4-38406_Debian_lenny_i386.deb download failed, the file name probably changed.
Please let the svmi script maintainer know this.
Sorry, the download failed for some reason, let's find out why.

Thanks

Should link be to virtualbox-2.0_2.0.4-38406_Debian_lenny_i386.deb not virtualbox_2.0.4-38406_Debian_lenny_i386.deb?

just tried it and it's working, not sure if it's something I changed or what, but in yours, the file name was incomplete, I don't know how that could have happened, try it again.

RRowan, either I had some tiny error in svmi that I fixed without realizing it, or gremlins attacked and removed part of the file name, I don't know which it was.

VB non-ose 2.0.4 is totally awesome. I am running Windows XP professional 32bit in full screen mode with no problems at all. With smxi, VB installation was a no brainer (is it just me, or is Linux getting easier and easier to use?). Now I have no reason at all to run anything but sidux! Smile
