I would like to request the spcaxx webcam kernel module that was part of the kanotix kernel modules package.
For a long time kanotix was the only distro I could get my webcam working with properly (though suse now has a repository to add the module).
I used to build the module myself but I can't seem to get it to work anymore. |

"m-a a-i spca5xx-source" will create the spca5xx kernel module for your current kernel, if that helps you?!

| Thanks, that worked. Since I'm not likely to be upgrading the kernel often it's not much work. |

| spca5xx (v4l1 based) is replaced by gspca (v4l2), which is kernel 2.6.19 compatible and maintained by the same upstream author and should behave as drop in replacement. |
