Hi,
i'm wondering about the fact that iceweasel didn't hit the repos. The release is older than a week and the new version doesn't appear in the sid repos.
I just want to ask if there is a way of coping with such issues or do we just have to wait.
I thought sidux is bleeding edge |

Code:
$ apt-cache policy xulrunner-1.9
xulrunner-1.9:
Installiert: 1.9.0.3-1
Kandidat: 1.9.0.3-1
Versions-Tabelle:
*** 1.9.0.3-1 0
500 http://ftp.hu.debian.org sid/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
And get this info:
Code:
apt-cache show xulrunner-1.9
Then you know everything.

Would it be possible to communicate such facts more to the users? I think that it is necessary that such informations go out to all users.
I've read some posts that users have installed firefox from the website to get all the bugfixes. That would be obsolete if the user would know the background informations.
Regards! |

There is a sticky in the "Upgrade Warnings Section" in which I link to a site which gives a rough overview of relevant Debian bugs. I just added infos how to track security issues in Sid (esp. for people who are not regularily dist-upgrading or selectively update certain packages).
So: it's up to the user to get the infos they want/need. The sources are not hidden or secret.
