| I'm using sidux 2008-02 on a Dell Latitude D520 and I cannot get acpi to show battery info. Before changing from Debian Etch to sidux this worked fine so I know it isn't hardware related. Both the BAT0 and BAT1 folders have files that are all 0b and my SK monitor does not show any battery info. kpowersave shows battery info properly though. Can some let me know if there is a way to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

This question has been asked before in the forum.
The answer is that the authour of acpi need to update his code to parse power_supply class statistics in sysfs, because the procfs stats are being removed in new versions of Linux. |

| I actually fixed my problem. I just did a apt-get distro-upgrade and after rebooting it is now showing up. Sorry if it was asked before but I did a search and did not see it. |
