This just popped up on the inkscape-devel list - a very interesting read into the depth of svg support in KDE4, including challenges currently facing artists and developers, with some nice proposed solutions.
The talk is from the 6th International Conference on Scalable Vector Graphics, and if anyone has video of the presentation please link it here, apparently the examples given were amazing.
