There is a bug when deinstalling kernels the debian way. It is a little bug, because You will be hit only if you have done a kernel with an erroneous too high number.
The bug:
This wrongly high number keeps staying around because nothing gets cleaned at directory
"var/lib/initramfs-tools/"
even after deinstalling. Every automatically triggered update-initramfs wants to update the initrd.img of that highest number kernel even when not installed anymore. |
