Pidgin doesn't support webcam, amsn is only available for msn protocol. Currently, I am using Yahoo protocol.

Gnomemeeting now called Ekiga was OK last time I used it. It behaved
well until my webcam failed. The new webcam works but I cannot adjust
the brightness, colour etc. I think the latter is the webcam driver's fault
rather than Ekiga's
Can't remember if Ekiga is in the repositories but gnomemeeting
is a transition package and installing it will install Ekiga.

[quote="frankqn"]Hi,

http://gyachi.sourceforge.net/

There is a deb file available, but i canThe deb file is available for i386 architecture only, and compiled for Ubuntu Gutsy. Not sure if it is working in sidux.
I wonder if anyone here is interested to port to sidux.

I've used gyachi on sidux ant it seems to work well with webcam.
Tends to be a bit flaky (gyachi itself, not webcam in particular).
I can only get kopete working with yahoo webcam, not msn.

aMSN works very well for me, webcam and all. I actually got my yahoo friends to switch to MSN because of it.

did you know dimdim?
http://www.dimdim.com/products/what_is_dimdim.html

I haven't tried it yet, cos' I have no webcam, but it looks very interesting.
I think that skype should have some webcam support as well.

Anyway, if you get to use dimdim, let us know how it goes. Or I'll do it as soon as I get a new pc with a webcam.

Cheers!
