I did a 975 mB upgrade the other day on an old install, worked fine. I frequently do 5-600 mB upgrades, that's about 1 month or so between dist-upgrades, more or less.

Yes but there are more than 79 kde apps. Recently I had some problems with the mix of kde3&4 that's why i created the post.
If it is not worth to anyone a moderator may delete it please Smile

Thanks, snvv. This is reassuring. I normally upgrade during weekends. Guess it will be a long one this weekend. Smile

I refused to upgrade the kde packages, because they want to overwrite the sidux versions and I know that sidux versions had fixed some bashism issues. And nothing about that was written in the changelogs.

...and don't you think we'd update our fixed kdebase packages, if it were still necessary?

(hint, the same patches got finally uploaded to Debian/ sid)

Hint: A list of proposed/accepted patches would be helpfull and
self-advertising how sidux pushes debian development (a prominent menu link on sidux.com)

ralul i totally agree with that. On the other hand is that small letters of slh that makes sidux different from most of other distros Wink

A 96 hour day would also be helpful, in the absence of it, I prefer to keep communications to relevant parties where it does make a difference, instead of doing PR or mindless statistics.

@slh, I apreciate your work for my machine running fine and fast. Therefore I just tried this:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgrepor ... l-h@gmx.de
... searching your bugs. I could manually list it as a sidux wiki page I thought. But that resulting search list is far from complete:
1. Missing patches that you send to other people's bugs
2. Missing bugs from other sidux developers.

@ralul

If you'd only search properly, you would find 150 entries in the Debian BTS committed by slh:

edit: I am not sure if slh prefers not to have the link to all his (very interesting) commits here. Anyway, anyone can use this enhanced search engine for the Debian BTS - a very useful source to track bugreports (not just people).

Maybe it's just me, but to me this is getting ridiculuos.

Thanks, but I don't really want a big brother watching my toes and commenting my steps - especially if it did a better job than that severely incomplete listing.

Edit: and yes, this is ridiculous, EOD.
