Post subject: can't access Manual  PostPosted: Jul 04, 2008 - 04:32 AM

I am confused. I try to get to the Manual page but nothing happens. I am using Debian Lenny. When I go into Windows or Mepis (well, I think Windows for sure - for Mepis, I need to check again... darn memory...), I can get to it with no problem.

When I click for the Manual page, the page appears to be loading but nothing happens and I get the routine 'Done.' but the page doesn't change. I suppose this is webpage related on my end? I need to troubleshoot my IceWeasel browser? :-/

Hi tuxracer,
try /usr/share/sidux-manual/en for your local manual.

cheers Micha

The server for the manuals was down for about 8 10 hours as the backbone for it was moved, and it also affected numerous other sidux projects services like svn and emails systems.

The great news is the manaul is on your PC
apt-get install sidux-manual-xx (where xx is for your supported lang Dansk = da , Deutsch = de , English = en , Español = es , Français = fr, Hrvatski = hr , Italiano = it, Nederlands = nl , 日本語 (Nihongo) = ja , Português(Brasil) = pt-br, Română = ro, Русский = ru)

To clarify the actual problem the poster had, he's using debian lenny and wanted to read the sidux online manual.

He posted the problem in the correct place in the forums, and worded his question correctly.

Sometimes we read too quickly and miss the question.

Thanks, h2. Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was a server issue or what. It just seemed strange that when I was using a different browser/distro, I was able to access/read the manual. 'Probably was just coincidence. Sorry for the silly question.
