I purchased a DG945GCLF with the idea of making it a cheap small surfing box and evaluating it for other potential uses.
It has pretty much lived up to my expectations mostly good, but reminds me why I avoid onboard video.
I have played around with a few distros on it, all I have tried have problems with the network card and some with the sound.
The NIC gets detected and set-up but fails to connect.
This problem exists with the sidux 2008-2 32bit install, but surprisingly it works fine on the 64bit install.
This is with the 2.6.25-9.slh.1.sidux.amd64 kernel, if I update to the 2.6.25-11 kernel it quits working.

| There is some hope for RTL8101 based ethernet with kernel >= 2.6.26-0.slh.2-sidux-*, which is currently not uploaded to sidux yet, due to serious regressions in other modules. |

i tried 2.6.26 (published by Linus this week), it's a hap to get it working, but RTL8101 works responsible with 2.6.25.9 (r8169 module is used though).
All other things work fine. Mainly i use it as umts/hsdpa router in my network since some weeks now, but also kde, iceweasel, etc. work fine.
UncleVom: it should be booted with cheatcode "pci=noacpi".
