Hi all,
I just found that if you try to change hostname in siduxcc (Network>set hostname) you will get first result as
Quote:
An Error occurred while changing the resolution to "hostname"!
in screen is also visible this:
Quote:
modules/network.bm: line 45: fix-res: command not found
and then the result that
Quote:
The hostname have been changed successfully to SOMETHING.

| I changed my hostname using this. No errors, but it didn't change the name. |

Can I add that this failed for me too.
Using control panel it looks like it works as control panel/system info show new hostname
2) But
Code:
hostname (newhostname)
hostname >>>>returns new hostname
and the shell name (or what ever you call it) does not change
and /etc/hostname is not changed.
Using full dvd 386 KDE Erobos 2008-02.
konsole 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4
Kdebase 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4
libgtk 2.0.0 |
