Hi,
I am using sidux erebos prev1 amd64.
I want to report that maxima doesn't work
see below terminal output
jan@siduxbox:~$ maxima

This is a development version of Maxima. The function bug_report()
provides bug reporting information.

| I have no idea what maxima is, but it is not a sidux package - the correct location for a bugreport is at http://bugs.debian.org |

@cleary it is a sidux / debian package.
@janbrosius I installed it in my PC for you and I get the same error except the "(%i1) out of memory allocating 7 bytes after a total of 224016688 bytes" part.
So you may fill a bug report and/or find an other similar package.
You can find all this stuff in matlab but it is not free (actually the non-student edition is unacceptable expensive).
You may try octave but I am not sure if it is what you want.
Also, you may try r-project. |

I don't understand... KDE is not a sidux package too but we have support for it...
Any way, obviously I am missing something here...
It's not importand. |

Hi,
I have submitted this as a bug report to Debian. I hope they will fix it soon. I am new to sidux (and debian) but I cannot find where the sidux packages are (tried it with google but found nothing). Where are the sidux packages located? |

No, it's a debian package, ie controlled by debian developers and installed from debian repositories.
KDE is the same, except we include it as a package on the isos we distribute, so when grave bugs appear in it, then we will consider repackaging and distributing from our repos temporarily to fix said bug. |
