Yesterday's update (3.0-rc1-1) killed iceweasel. It refuses to start complaining about some bad xul in some chrome like file. Even mv'ing ~/.mozilla/firefox didn't help. Neither did downgrading to 3.0-b5-4. Pity.

Note: Of course this does not affect ordinary sidux users but just weirdoes running packages from the experimental branch.

Start iceweasel in konsole (xterm, ...)
Code:
$ iceweasel -safe-mode
deactivate addons, then start again and eventually try activating compatible addons ...
It worked for me Very Happy
Good luck

That's odd...rm -rf ~/.mozilla DID solve the problem for me.

--safe-mode somehow worked after some fiddling. I guessed it was due to some addon; however, I figured mv'ing ~/.mozilla/firefox would get rid of them...

Yes not all addons are compatible with IW3...you will have to wait till the addon developer adds the support for IW/FF3. Best to make a test profile and try out the addons you use.

You might be interested in https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109
The main function of FEBE is to make a backup of your profile, but you can also backup only your extensions. beyond that, you can make an extension that can install a set of extensions

Looks promising and is a help whenever you upgrade your browser
