Hi,
with recent kernels by slh, my
00:1f.0 IDE interface: ALi Corporation M5229 IDE (rev c8)
Has very slow performance when I, for example, install an application with my IDE dvd drive. It is not only slow, but the mouse lags, too, when it is used.
My dvd drive is mounted at
/dev/scd0
With the 2.6.25 kernel from Debian/sid, everything runs fine. It is mounted at
/dev/hda
