Post subject: Via-Velocity network MTU too low  PostPosted: May 26, 2008 - 04:49 AM

Default MTU for my via-velocity card is set to 576 or less. It should be 1500. Recent changes to the kernel allow for lower settings, but this shouldn't be the default. I know how to set it after each log in

as root:
Code:
ifconfig eth0 mtu=1500

But i dont know how to make it permanent at each boot.

Additionally, I have network issues (i think its the network) with the game Urban Terror that had ran fine with debian etch for the last few years.
Thanks for sidux, its been a lot of fun so far.
