Hi,
I am running sidux on a notebook that has got a RT73 card installed.
lsusb shows:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 148f:2573 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2501USB Wireless Adapter
My sidux is a 32bit version, and I have been using ndiswrapper for getting the RT73 card to run.
I have tried to use the native linux drivers for it, but they did not give me full link speed (only a 10th of what is possible).
Now I would like to update to a 64bit version of sidux, and I cannot get the windows xp and/or vista drivers to unpack or to install. I have not yet made the change, because I would like to make sure I have the 64bit driver ndiswrapper needs before making the changes to my system.
cabextract did not find any cab-archive in the exe-file, and wine could not run the exe-file for vista, so where can I get a 64bit driver for xp for my RT73 card that I can use with ndiswrapper?
Thanks for any help,
Crypto. |

AFAIR Vista drivers do not work with ndiswrapper, so you need to find a 64bit XP driver. Though they are very rare...

| Did you try the native drivers from 2.6.25 kernel? I had the same speed issues, i have a full speed since 2.6.25. (I have a 64 bit system) |
