I've noticed with debian it has many different ways to install (netinstall, debootstrap install, hd-media to install from hard drive, plain iso etc).

One I particularly like is the hd-media method.
I can download vmlinuz and initrd.gz files and place them in the root of any partition along with an iso (netinstall or full iso), then boot that from grub and install without ever needing to burn anything to disc.

Just wondering if it possible to install sidux this way?

I seem to have chronic luck with bad batches of cd's and have had a few bad burns also and this is an ideal way to avoid wasting cd's.

U can download the sidux.iso, extract kernel and initrd from it, put it whereever you want, and can start then fromiso with an existing grub.
I don't understand your problem.
