Post subject: Nyx Install hangs after format /root

hi all, recently i discovered sidux, the live-cd is great so i tried to install it in my laptop acer3614.
partitions are already done:
sda1 /
sda2 /data
sda5 /home
sda3 /swap
1. do i need to create a /boot ?
2. can i assign the /data partition in the installer? i tried in the edit file, but the installer do not start.
now what happens is that the installer after format / starts copying the files (pass 2) and the nothing happens, last night i let it running but after 7 hours it's not doing nothing so i cancelled.

please try with nothing added but /.
/home and whatever else is needed can be mounted in fstab after install.
and no, /boot is almost never needed.
the complete install should be done in maybe 6-8 minutes on your hardware.

i already did that.
i tried install only with / /home it's the same, it's kind weird!
installer formats / start copying files and then stops.
partitions are ext3.
i really want to install sidux!

by the way, when running in live-mode, i can't make the FN keys work, should i load some module?

please just use /, no /home
that can easily be mounted after install.

ok i'm right now installing with only / let's see what's happen! 
what options should i use then when mounting /home and /data?

ok! i manage to install sidux, but in a different way!
first i was installing with the dvd-live, it didnt' work, i don't know why.
then i downloaded the lite version, and all went fine, even with the other partitions.
strange!
the dvd iso is ok, md5sum fine!
does anyone know how to configure the FN keys on a laptop?
in kde i choose acer laptop and generic104 but it doesn't work.
by the way i installed compiz without change the source.list that came with sidux, do i have to modify it? i can't figure why the compiz-manager doesn't work!

you need to install graphics driver for your card.
please consult our manual at http://manual.sidux.com/en/welcome-en.htm
for the fn keys you might want to install keytouch.

compiz is working, but not the compiz-manager, i have to google
