Dear All,
Hello, I have the latest beta of sidux, installed krecipes and it always crashes. The error message is below:

Does anyone know how to get this to work? I really like this program and used it in tartares with no problems. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

| Uhm I just like to ask something. What is "latest beta"? So not the up-to-date latest release version(2008-1)? By the way I have only personal experience with kftpgrabber .. its the same. Always crashes for some reason.. I just switched to an alternative, but Krecipe is not that sort of application. :-\ |

Thank you very much for your very fast reply. I do not have the final release , I have the beta that was around just before the final release. I guess I should do a dist-upgrade.
So you are saying this is a problematic program possibly. I guess I will give up on it until things improve.

Use the "smxi" command as root. Just go to terminal and type > smxi . That will guide through the process, and I think it will be fine. Maybe that will fix the problem. ps: Sorry if you're more familiar with sidux.. ..but at least, good luck  |

Hello aicram,
Do
apt get update
apt-get instal mysql
apt-get install libqt3-mt-mysql
Then use konquerer go to view on the top choose show hidden files go to .kde/share/config look for file krecipesrc delete it. launch krecipe again when it launches you will get the setup page again use the option for mysql finish answering the questions and all should work at least it did for me I could not get it to work with sqlite

Krecipe does not crash now. Thanks for the help. I installed the mysql-server and deleted the krecipesrc as you mentioned. It works great now.
