| whenever i try to build a search index in KDE Help Center, it complains that the application manuals are missing. it ends up indexing only the man pages. however, when look up KDE Help Center's contents, the individual application manuals are there. what gives? does anyone else experience this? |

Yes, I seem to have the same problem, in KDE 3.5.5a. I can only get Unix Man pages indexed. When I go into KDE Help Center, Settings menu, Build Search Index, the dialog box shows an Index for the Application Manuals is "Missing". If I click on Build Index, it seems to do it, but the Details say:
INDEXDIR: /home/alex/.kde/share/apps/khelpcenter/index/
Creating index for 'kde_application_manuals'
FINDCMD: find /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en/ -name index.docbook
htdig failed
and I still end up with just Unix man pages searchable. |

If I remember correctly this is a KDE bug and has been around
for a long time. Seems no one was interested in fixing it.
You should be able to find the bug on KDE's bug tracking page. |
