Looks interesting..any comments on this? It says this will support Debian Sid, but wonder if it will work on sidux. I know that this is NOT really an approved product, but anyone try it?

You are really long enough with us to know the issue, please refer to our Code of Conduct for further explanation.
For everyone elese: The promoted tool (and it's ancestor) are installers for software which is illegal to distribute/use in some countries, and the sidux project must protect it's users in these countries, together with protecting the project itself against law suits we cannot (and do not want) to afford.
Besides, using such installers (except our own meta-installer) is a fine way to destroy stability and upgrade ability of your sidux system. If you need any further regarding this matter please refer to our IRC chat where you might find a helpful soul.
Greetings,
Chris

for what it's worth, it won't install on a sid based system.
It requires tango-icon-theme-common.
Makes you wonder if anyone tests things first? That's a pretty easy thing not to miss.

Debian and ubuntu are not binary compatible (even source compatibility isn't given for granted!), if you use ubuntu packages in debian or debian packages in ubuntu, chances are very good to break either system seriously.
I figured everyone would see that as dangerous but you're right. Someone new might not.

Agree totally...never mix packages from the brown bag distro with sid..but this *unmentionable* package seems to use the brown bag distro's repos even with sid? NOT good, so there we go...
