In todays dist-upgrade vital parts of KDE will be removed for 32 bit installs. In smxi the packages are on hold.
edit: 08:18: please do not use smxi either, before the missing kde packages appear (hopefully today)
edit: 22.55 sidux repo has fixed packages (thxx to slh) until debian fixes the problem
please check if your mirror has the packages already or wait a few hours to be safe.

Today 1 year ago, the first final Release sidux-2007-01 Χάος saw the light of day.Since then much effort has been put in sidux developement to be soon continued with more debian compatability by introducing aptable kernels.
We wish sidux a long life and all users ongoing fun and success with it.

Currently we recommend to not update the kernel through smxi.First the script must be adapted to the new way as the kernels are now delivered ( kernels are now installable per apt-get)
If you want to update your kernel, please use apt-get
edit: as of now, kernel updates are disabled in smxi until H2 finds time to adjust it.
edit: since yesterday smxi has been fixed for the new kernels

Today's dist-upgrade brought a broken set of qt-x11-free packages. It will break most KDE apps.
Better do not dist-upgrade untill the situation is completly clarified.
For those that have already done a dist-upgrade we are trying to find a solution for the problem.
For a first workaround take look into this forum's thread
edit: 32 & 64 bit fixed as of now

sidux-manual turned 1 year today. 1 year ago a decision was made to send the the sidux manual 'live' and even though sidux did not have an ISO.It went 'live' in 2 languages English and German (moto did 85% of the translation to -de)
1 year later sidux-manual is in 12 languages, and currently 2 other languages are in translation mode - Greek and Chinese
