Here is a short overview of the current state:- Manual pages were put at 30.12.2006 00:50 GMT+1 online
- most all references to Kanotix are gone
- same goes for remains of Knoppix
- the repository is working fine thanks to slh
- different installation- and upgradepaths are tested and working fine
- the artwork is done, unfortunately we are still waiting on the license from Hubble
- we have alternatives in place to be able to release with clean licenses
- the documentation was worked over completely and put into a new framework
- a server for the sidux iso was found, a second one pending
- donations so far exceed US$ 1500
- more then 600 users are registered on the forum
- the foundation is up and running
- a german aquivalent will be set up soon
what is left to do:
- the installer is being worked on
- Kano's script have to be partially replaced
- a new packagelist has to be agreed on
- other then that we work on gfxboot, i18n and other places
- we are looking for a fast server in US for sidux iso
- as well we need a new server for the cms & forum, the one in use now is at its limits

Edit [15:00 EST]: a fixed package was fetched from incoming. The fix is not needed anymore
Please do not dist-upgrade for now. There is a broken package: libattr1.
Dist-Upgrade might hang, or KDE will not start. There is no solution so far. Removing it will uninstall X.
So please hang on, we are at it right now.
EDIT:
apt-get install libattr1/testing works for now.
Debian should have a corrected package by tomorrow.
