As of today the site of sidux e.V. is online at http://verein.sidux.com.The site will keep you updated on all activities of sidux e.V. (german sidux foundation) and has forum, gallery and of course anything needed to become a member
We will have an english section where important news are translated, and, if needed, an EN forum section.
So, have a look , have fun and critisize the site, its not perfect yet.

The sidux-manual is now available in Polish with maslot as the translator and maintainer.maslot started work to translate the manual to Polish 6 months ago, and on his own.and has translated 80% of the manual, which consists of 35 files in total (to date) and if printed would run to 200 +pages per translation,
The dedication and stamina truly ranks maslot with the best of the best and is an outstanding role model for anyone wishing to participate and contribute to linux and sidux.
maslot, you never gave up, and that is sheer sweat, guts and determination.
We salute you,
On behalf of the sidux Team
Trevor Walkley
bluewater

Yesterday was the last of 4 fantastic days on LinuxTag 2007 in Berlin. Our first appearance on a convention was a highlight for all involved. The receptance from visitors and other exhibitors was very warm.I want to thank the KDE team, who were very friendly and helpfull as well as all the sidux people from forum and chat, that came to Berlin to help out. Many thanks go to those who helped with money to make this appearance possible in such a short time.
LinuxTag will be documented on the sidux-ev site to be launched soon. An unsorted amount of pictures are already in the gallery. Have fun.

Following popular demand the new kernel set ships with RaLink legacy wlan modules in addition to mac80211/ rt2x00 again, to prevent race conditions between both drivers the rt2x00 variants need to be blacklisted if you intend to install the legacy drivers. A new udev-config-sidux version takes care of that (apt-get update; apt-get install udev-config-sidux), if you intend to keep the rt2x00 drivers (recommended), you need to remove that blacklisting once (rm /etc/modprobe.d/mac80211).
For further background information, please take a look at Kernel ≥2.6.21.1*-4 and mac80211.
