sidux is pleased to announce another language version for sidux-manuals. This time for the Russian language and it is now 'Live" on http:sidux.com (click Manuals in the menu)This has come about with the Russian translation team of RoEn and koslow and RoEn somehow managed to fit translating a big project like the manual in with his role of managing the wiki
RoEn and koslow started work on translating the manuals to Russian on Mar 17, 2007, and have translated 75% of the manual, which now consists of 35 files in total (to date) and if printed would run to 200 +pages per translation,
To Roen and koslow, fabulous work,, now the hard part begins, ...fixing your typos (grin)
On behalf of the sidux Team

We are proud to anounce that the Hetzner Online AG has agreed to sponsor the sidux project with a dedicated root server for hosting the main web site sidux.com, together with our support forums, Wiki and the user gallery. The server is located in Hetzner's data centers in Nuernberg/Germany, with strong upstream connections to LambdaNet, Noris Network, Tiscali, DE-CIX, Cable & Wireless, KPN EuroRings and N-IX.

This morning was a good one: Despite our infancy as a distribution, the sidux project was chosen to receive the reputable DistroWatch donation for February 2007. We gratefully received US$ 350,-- via PayPal last night - the honor and acknowledgment is of course much greater than the amount of money (and your ongoing donations are still very much appreciated). The sidux project is thereby elected into a small group of renowned projects like the Debian project itself, The Gimp, K3b and Gnome.Posted by : devil on Thursday, March 01, 2007 - 05:22 PM
