The sidux-manual is now available in Polish with maslot as the translator and maintainer.

maslot started work to translate the manual to Polish 6 months ago, and on his own.and has translated 80% of the manual, which consists of 35 files in total (to date) and if printed would run to 200 +pages per translation,

The dedication and stamina truly ranks maslot with the best of the best and is an outstanding role model for anyone wishing to participate and contribute to linux and sidux.

maslot, you never gave up, and that is sheer sweat, guts and determination.

After 3 months of development we are proud to announce the immediate availability of the sidux-2007-02 "Τάρταρος" release for amd64 and i686 systems, shipping in a ≈425 MB lite KDE and a ≈ 690 MB full KDE flavor. sidux is a full featured Debian sid based live CD with a special focus on hard disk installations, a clean upgrade path within sid and additional hard- and software support.

5 days later than planned, but now that KDE 3.5.7 has settled in debian/ sid, it is time to announce the second and last kde-lite preview for sidux 2007-02. Barring unforeseeable problems the full featured final release of sidux-2007-02 "Τάρταρος" will be released early next week.

As expected KDE 3.5.7 is being uploaded to debian sid right now, while this delays our release for roughly a week until KDE 3.5.7 is completely in sid, we do gain a lot of bugfixes and detail improvements that way. The release is now scheduled immediately afterwards.

Due to the tight package interdependencies, dist-upgrading might be a littler rougher than usual, please keep an eye on anything apt wants to remove.

Debian/ sid and sidux have progressed a lot over the last three months, now I have the pleasure to announce the first public preview for sidux 2007-02. Please note this is not the final release. The full featured final release of sidux-2007-02 "Τάρταρος" will be ready in about 2 weeks (i686 and amd64, this might be a bit delayed based on KDE's release schedule), intermediate xdeltas will be provided as needed until then.
